    Overview

    Description

    With this you can a counter for how many times that hashtag has been used. It's very basic but a nice addition in my opinion.

    Technical limitations

    › This tutorial is dedicated to the forums powered by Forumotion free forum service
    › Requires to be the Founder of the #Forumotion Forum
    › It works with all Forumotion forums' versions

    Installation


    CSS

    In order to design the style of the resource, you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Display CSS & Colors CSS Style Sheet and add append the following code:

    You need to reply to the topic in order to see the code resources



    CSS Customization

    • Use
      Code:
      .hashtag-block
      for the complete hashtag block
    • Use
      Code:
      .hashtag-link
      for the default link (tag) part
    • Use
      Code:
      .hashtag-count
      for the new count part


    Javascript & jQuery

    For the next step you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Modules HTML & Javascript Javascript codes management and create a new code - upon verifying that Javascript codes management is enabled.

    • Title: free choice - does not influence the code effect
    • Where: In all pages
    • Code:

    Javascript Customization

    If you want the counter to be displayed before the tag, search this line:

    hashtag_link.append(div_count);

    And change it by this:

    hashtag_link.prepend(div_count);
